How long does solar installation take?
Most residential installations are completed in one day. Larger commercial projects may take 2–3 days. We handle delivery, mounting, wiring, inverter configuration, battery connection, and full commissioning before handover.
How quickly will I see a return on my investment?
Most residential systems pay for themselves in 3–5 years through electricity savings. Commercial systems with higher consumption often achieve payback in 2–3 years. After payback, you enjoy near-free electricity for the remaining 15–20 year system life.
Do solar systems work during Kenya Power outages?
Yes — hybrid and off-grid solar systems automatically switch to battery power during outages, typically in milliseconds. Grid-tie systems without batteries do not provide backup power during outages. We always recommend hybrid systems for Kenyan conditions.
What warranty comes with a Happy Solar Systems installation?
Weco lithium batteries carry a 10-year warranty. Solar panels carry a 10-year product warranty and 25-year performance warranty. Deye and TBB inverters carry a 5-year warranty. Our installation workmanship is also warranted. Full documentation is provided at handover.
Can I pay for solar installation using M-Pesa?
