A DC disconnect switch, also called a PV isolator or DC isolator, allows the solar array to be disconnected from the rest of the system.

Do You Need an MPPT Charge Controller?
This depends on your solar system.
An MPPT charge controller manages the charging of a battery from the solar panels and tracks the panel’s maximum power point. It is particularly useful in systems where the PV voltage and battery voltage are different.
